 Just 40 km from town in Bo Phloi District, Kanchanaburi Safari Park & Open Zoo is a man-made habitat for several African & Asian animals - lions, tigers, giraffes, zebras and bears.
The landscaping is beautifully designed and offers great insights into the habits of the animals. The whole area around the park is highlighted by some beautifully decorated pavilions which house gift shops, cafes and restaurants.
Bowls of food to feed the animals (bananas, vegetables etc.) can be bought from the main entrance for just a few Baht.
In the centre of the complex is our beautiful restaurant, overlooking the lake. This is a good spot for a cold drink before heading off to see one of the many daily animal shows.
Cars and pick ups are welcome to drive around inside the park.
The best way to see the whole grounds is to take one of the park buses.
The driver will take you through each section, giving you excellent photo opportunities as well as getting "up close and personal" with several animals, most notably the giraffes who will "invade" the bus for some food...great fun! |
The Safari Park & Open Zoo allows visitors the unique opportunity to get really close to a wide variety of animals. Our park buses will slowly drive through each area and the driver will explain evrything en route.
